Senate Committee’s Inadequate Labor-HHS-Education Spending
The $142.8 billion recommended for Labor-HHS-Ed FY 2007 spending in annually appropriated programs was $5 billion more than the President’s request, and about $900 million higher than the figure the House Appropriations Committee approved.
