Senate Committee’s Inadequate Labor-HHS-Education Spending
The $142.8 billion recommended for Labor-HHS-Ed FY 2007 spending in annually appropriated programs was $5 billion more than the President’s request, and about $900 million higher than the figure the House Appropriations Committee approved.

Senate Approves Funding Levels for Housing Programs
On July 20, the Senate Appropriations Committee passed by voice vote the Transportation-Treasury-Housing Appropriations bill that sets FY 2007 funding levels for HUD housing and community development programs.
