| Protecting People From Cuts in Vital Services Toolkit For Taking Action! This September, Congress will take up legislation that threatens medical care, food stamps, and other aid to vulnerable people. They will also take up a bill to make still more tax cuts. The choices are pretty stark and pretty outrageous. Do you think that Congress should give another $70 billion in tax cuts to the comfortable few while reducing or eliminating assistance that could literally mean life or death for people with nowhere else to turn? If not, it's time to tell Congress what you think and to let the public know what's at stake. Congress can reject harmful cuts. Don't let them off the hook. If you wait until September, here's what will happen: All July, Congress will be negotiating the provisions of these bills. They won't hear from you. But you can be sure they will hear plenty from lobbyists who want more tax breaks for the well-connected. Please don't wait.
