The EITC and CTC reduce poverty and improve social mobility, improve children’s long-term outcomes, encourage work and reduce reliance on welfare.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
SNAP improves food security and health, reduces poverty both immediately and later in life, and improves local economies.
- Social Security Disability Insurance
SSDI reduces poverty and provides vital income assistance to those who become disabled before they reach retirement age and are no longer able to fully support themselves through work.
