Save the Estate Tax

The Senate is considering legislation to repeal or dramatically reduce the estate tax at a cost of $1 trillion over 10 years.  Those who care about meeting human needs should see the effort to repeal or gut the estate tax as an exercise in upside-down priorities in the extreme.   The huge revenue loss will result in cuts in services and higher deficits -- all to benefit the very wealthiest fraction of one percent of Americans.  The Coalition on Human Needs urges organizations to sign this letter to the Senate regarding the estate tax.  Individuals can take action too, by sending an email letter to your Senators.
