Supporting advancement of NASW’s federal public policy priorities with Congress and the Administration to include federal agencies. Responsible for expanding, implementing, and evaluating grassroots NASW member support for federal legislative, administrative, regulatory, and electoral initiatives. Legislative, administrative, and regulatory work focuses on issues that relate to the social work workforce and social justice issues. Staffs NASW member legislative mobilization programs and campaigns; plans lobby days; assists in staffing committee meetings; and develops training sessions and materials. Develops and maintains good working relationships with key administrative, regulatory, and congressional offices. Implements political action programs and activities for federal candidates and elected officials, with emphasis on candidate and coalition support activities and member/leader training. Assists with analysis and political recommendations for candidate endorsements for federal elected office. Assists in federal election compliance and reporting activities. Responsible for database development, website and technology integration. Provides information to NASW leadership, staff, and members. Work is performed under general supervision.

The Senior Manager for Social Media and Campaigns (SMSMC) is responsible for managing and growing FCNL’s social media platforms – developing strategies for digital campaigns, curating, and creating content, strengthening FCNL’s brand and engaging its social community – to advance the organization’s advocacy, legislative, fundraising, and other organizational priorities. The SMSMC also writes and edits for FCNL’s digital platforms and publications.
