For the 12^th consecutive year, CHN is pleased to host our Human Needs Hero reception, and we want you to join us. This year, we are proud to honor the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) as our Human Needs Hero for their work of more than 40 years to expand opportunities for women and their families. The Law Center has been an active member of the Coalition on Human Needs since CHN’s formation, fighting to reduce poverty and strengthen programs serving low-income and vulnerable people. Through its research, analysis, advocacy, and litigation, the Center has helped to make child care more affordable, increase tax credits for low- and moderate-income families, expand access to health insurance, protect and improve Social Security, improve child support, increase the minimum wage and narrow the wage gap, and strengthen civil rights protections in schools, on the job, and in communities.

We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, July 30th, at 5:30 p.m. in DC as we celebrate the amazing work of the Law Center. We also hope you’ll consider becoming a sponsor of the reception. Sponsorship for CHN’s sole fundraising event each year honors a true Human Needs Hero and helps us to carry out our work promoting economic opportunity and security for all.

By honoring the leaders at the NWLC, we continue our tradition of bringing our community together in celebrating our fields’ new and experienced advocates. Sponsorship will allow you to bring a number of guests; if you’re with an organization, we hope you will use this opportunity to invite your interns and/or newer staff. Sponsors will be recognized in event invitations and will have ad space in the program. Individual tickets are also available.

Not in the DC area or simply can’t make the event? You can still become a sponsor or make a donation and get lines in the program you can use to honor the work of the NWLC.
